Next Women’s Weekend

​The Ottawa Catholic Cursillo Movement is delighted to announce its upcoming Women’s Cursillo Weekend Retreat, scheduled for April 24th to 27th, 2025. This enriching experience offers women a unique opportunity to deepen their faith and strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ.​

What is a Cursillo? The term Cursillo translates to “short course” in Spanish. It refers to a three-day immersive experience focusing on the core principles of Christianity. Participants will engage in a series of talks presented by both clergy and laypersons, covering essential aspects of Christian life. The weekend also emphasizes communal prayer, daily Eucharist celebrations, and group discussions, all aimed at inspiring participants to live out their faith more fully in their daily lives.​

Retreat Details:

• Dates: Thursday evening, April 24th, to Sunday afternoon, April 27th, 2025.​

• Location: Centre de l’Amour, 220 Route 21, Plantagenet, Ontario, K0B 1L0.​​

• Capacity: Limited to 30 participants to ensure an intimate and enriching experience. Early application is encouraged.​

Each applicant must be sponsored by someone who has previously attended a Cursillo weekend. Sponsors play a vital role in supporting candidates before, during, and after the retreat.​

Post-Retreat Engagement: Following the weekend, participants are encouraged to continue their spiritual journey through regular group reunions and Ultreyas—larger community gatherings for ongoing faith formation and support. These engagements are designed to help integrate the Cursillo experience into everyday life, fostering a sustained and active Christian witness.​
